I love the crochet detailing on this shirt because it makes me feel like I'm going to a Mexican fiesta. I was bummed because at work today my classroom was cold so I had to wear a cardigan all day and didn't get to fully enjoy my "fiesta" shirt :)

Yesterday I went out for a lovely brunch with my friend Amy. I got a Mexican "Olé" skillet with pork green chile, eggs, seasoned potatoes, chorizo sausage, and avocado. Yum! 

About my clothes, I love that jean shirts have come back into style in the US. When I was in Argentina, all of the girls loved jean. I swear I felt like I was living in the 90's with all of the mullets, jean shirts, & high top All Star Chucks Taylors.  I sometimes wear this shirt to make a dress more casual in place of a cardigan like I did today.

Two floral prints that look so different! We both played off the of main colors in each shirt. I focused on the purple & white accents and Heather focused on the red & black :) Isn't she a cutie?

My wonderful roommate Heather let me borrow this adorable Target Xhilaration dress yesterday for my lesson observation at school. I love borrowing clothes from friends and testing out new & different ways to wear the same old thing! For example, I've seen pictures of beautiful, blonde Heather in this dress with a black belt. It looked so cute in both situations, yet very different!

Turns out that a loose, comfy dress is great expect for when it is really windy outside! I took one of my classes outside and immediately regretted it when the wind was billowing and I was holding my skirt down the whole time. Haha!

Bright colores are clearly a huge part of my style, so when I saw this blue patterned skirt at Francesca's with the neon zipper in back I instantly love it. It love the length too because it is not too short, but its great for hot weather. As for Shannon's dress, I love the mixtures of multiple blues & oranges. Such a fun dress for spring/summer!

Yesterday after a long relaxing senior retreat with our church, some  friends and I headed to church in the warm spring night. So lovely! You may have notice that my roommates & I are big fans of skirts and dresses. Yesterday Rachel and I were both wearing skirts in completely different styles and lengths to the same event, yet since they are so different it didn't matter. I love how feminine and comfortable both of these styles are!

I think it is pretty clear in my blog that most of my clothes are 1. from resale shops 2. were a gift 3. is not designer... and that's just how I like it! Also having two older sisters, I always grew up with a lot of awesome (and sometimes, not so awesome) hand-me-downs! I love taking old or inexpensive items and giving them new life in interesting, new combinations. It is great that my mom and I are basically the same size (especially in shoes), so when she doesn't like something anymore or when "it is too young" for her, I get it! For example, this green tank top once belonged to my mom and was given to me when she realized she never knew what to wear with it. Thanks for the hand-me-downs, mom!
