I love linen fabric for the summer time, so I was pretty excited to find this dark navy linen shirt on sale at J.Crew. Most linen clothes are tan or white, which can be problematic when you are prone to stained clothes like me :) The light-weight blouse was perfect for the overcast weather the other night.

One last blog post with my lovely roommate Heather! I love her style and the way she pairs interesting colors & patterns together. Living with such a stylish lady meant a lot of clothes borrowing :)

Yesterday I had lunch with my roommates & best buds, Rachel & Heather. Both have been heavily featured on my blog this year and are beautiful women inside & out. Heather is moving to Chicago this weekend and I'm so excited for her! Selfishly I'll miss her & want her here with me in Colorado, but I know she has wonderful things ahead of her. Then, lovely Rachel is heading down to Honduras in a month to live & teach for 6 months. I'm so proud of her for taking that leap of faith to serve God like that! I am super excited for her to live in a Spanish-speaking country and be submerged in the language (I'm such a teacher...). I love both of these girls so much & am so blessed to have lived with them these past few years! ¿Qué buena vida, no? :)

The colors in this Petticoat Alley tank are so beautiful. The rich magentas with the burnt orange & teal... so unique! I love pairing it with simple black staples and dark jeans. It is such a beautiful shirt, it doesn't need a whole lot with it.

A friend of a friend in Virgina hand makes these amazingly light weight sandals! They are called Bedrocks & they are meant to feel like you're walking barefoot. So, they are kind of like Vibram Five Fingers, but not weird looking :) I love them because I can wear them with athletic shorts & a t-shirt or with a cute skirt because they look like basic black sandals!

I wore this blouse in an earlier post with jeans & decided to wear it again in a totally different style. Because of the cropped length in the front, it is easy to tuck into a high waisted skirt and leave the tail trailing behind. I love the contrast between the heavily patterned floral top with a basic black skirt!

A few blogs ago, I wore this gold cuff and told you all that it had a hidden watch! Isn't it awesome how the little cuff has a hidden treasure within. Speaking of other treasures, I always find amazing things when looking through friends hand-me-downs. My friend, Allison, recently finished grad school, so when moving, she completely gutted her wardrobe. Therefore, I got this wonderful gold necklace. If you look at the detailing in it, the chain links were made to look twirled and intertwined, which I love. The chain itself has a lot of detail & personality, as well as the pendant.

If you didn't notice the frame of this lovely red Fuji is way to big for me... Thanks for letting me borrow your bike, Papa Rosenwinkel! Although it is an insanely neat, vintage bike, it is also insanely scary to ride when you can't touch your toes to the ground. A new form of extreme biking, I guess... :)

Anyways, I'm wearing a few of my birthday presents in this post, including an amazing gold bracelet/ hidden watch & an antique Coach backpack! My sister bought me the gold cuff, which when opened has a tiny watch on the inside. Unfortunately it doesn't work consistently, but it is still amazing!

To be completely honest, in my own wardrobe, I very seldom wear pastles. I'm not sure what it is, but I like to wear rich colors overall. Yet, when it comes to this lovely number that my cousin, Olivia, wore while we were in Michigan, I am in love! I like the similar, but not matching tones in her blouse along with the shorts & sandals. Solid pairing, Liv!
