{shopping in Chicago}
Meet Heather! If you followed my blog prior to August, you should recognize her from many photo features for her impressive fashion sense. But in August, she packed up her big white suv and moved to Chicago. Luckily when I travel home to see my family, I get to spend time with this one (who lets be honest is part of my family!) For our reunion this time around, we spent the evening shopping in Lincoln Park and playing trivia with some of my friends from high school. Heather is getting married this Summer and we thought it would be fun to look for my bridesmaid's dress. Unfortunately, no luck finding a dress, but I had her pose for my blog in the store she bought her dress from a few months ago. Such an adorable store!

| What I'm wearing: Sweater from The Gap, scarf (gift from Allison), jeans from American Eagle, booties by Steve Madden, earrings from Grandma Rosenwinkel, lipstick by Cover Girl Queen Collection |
Today I'm heading downtown to go shopping with my friend Heather from college. With the chilly weather, I bundled up with this amazing horse-detailed scarf and my suede Steve Madden booties. It may be cold, but with no snow in Chicago, my suede will be safe!

I turned this regular old scarf into an infinity scarf (something I do quite often). I love the way the tassels hang down in the front! To get this look, take a scarf with end tassels and grab two of the strands. Tie these two strands together. Then, with your now circular scarf, loop it around your neck pulling the tassels to the front. Finally, arrange the portion of the scarf without tassels over the front of the knotted strands in order to hide them.
In addition to the scarves comment, my students were highly intrigued by my extremely thick & "hipster" glasses. I probably tallied about 15 comments about them today... both good and random ones :) Oh, high schoolers!
