{Coral in the Country}

{The Etheridge Wedding}

On Saturday, we celebrated the marriage of Andy & Lindsey
at Walnut Grove Farm in central Illinois. The ceremony was
perfectly planned and their vows melted my heart. We danced into the night
and laughed so much! I am so very excited for Andy & Lindsey's future together.
Those two know how to have a good time and how to love those around them!

{stars, stripes, & flower crowns}

Every year for the fourth of July (also my birthday), I commit to wearing a complete
Patriotic ensemble.  This year my older sister, Allison, made it easy on me when she
gave me this amazing flower crown made by one of her friends, the owner and creator of The Heartshaped Hotel. But friends, my crown isn't any ordinary flower crown...
it is a special made birthday crown adorned with sparkly stars, huge roses,
and mini red, white, and blue bows. I wanted to thank The Heartshaped Hotel
for custom making it for me!

In addition to my fabulous flower crown present, I kept the Independence day theme
flowing with a pair of bright red jeans and my favorite Anthropologie blouse!
What better style inspiration than the stars and stripes of our American flag!
What I'm Wearing:
Blouse by Meadow Rue from Anthropologie,
red jeans by BDG from Urban Outfitters,
& head dress made by The Heartshaped Hote

{beach break}

Summer break was created so Chicagoans could flock to the beaches of
Lake Michigan. Whether it be North Ave Beach in the heart of the city
or the charming lake front towns of South Haven and Saint Joseph.
Over the 4th of July weekend, my family headed over to Michigan
for a weekend full of camping, horseshoes, paddle boarding, fireworks, and family.
We had a number of things to celebrate that weekend...the engagement of my
 oldest sister, Allison, and her wonderful boyfriend, Paul, my 24th birthday, and
 the independence of our beloved country (obviously).

Here is a post pre-fourth. I love hanging out down at the beach
and relaxing. With this relaxing comes cute and comfy clothes
and limited pictures (due to the lounging). I did manage to convince my
sister to snap a couple of pictures of me before hours of
soaking in the sun began. I'll post my "proud to be an american,
dolled up for the fourth" outfit soon!

What I'm lounging in:
Fedora from Target,
gray zip-up from Target,
"Cómo se llama" shirt from Hens & Chicas (etsy),
& short from Forever 21

{fort worth wedding}

Hello everyone! Today I present to you Mrs. Tyler Nissen! Madeline is
one of my dearest friends from high school and I was so
overjoyed to spend the weekend of July 21st celebrating her marriage to the
love of her life! Congrats, you two!
Here a few fashion pictures and general adorable shots from their very
special day! Everything was so beautifully arranged I couldn't resist taking pictures.
With a wedding of 30 people, Madeline & Tyler did a wonderful job at making the
reception intimate and meaningful with small tables, fun games,
a unique food menu, time of mingle, and more.
 So much laughter & such great conversations!

Time for a few blog pictures...

{harem pants}

What I'm Wearing:
Black v-neck by Threads 4 Thought,
patterned harem pants by Lilka from Anthropologie,
sandals from Madewell,
bracelet from my mom,
necklace from Francesca's Closet
In honor of Father's Day my pops was my recruited photographer. Being a designer, my dad has a great artistic eye and loves to check in on my blog. He always encourages me in whatever I do, of example like his loving emails telling me he liked my outfit that day! My dad is a craftsman, a creative, and a caring father and husband. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful father who raised me to be creative and unique. I love you, dad!

As for my look on Sunday, I haven't worn these harem pants out and about yet, but due to an uncomfortable sunburn on my legs I thought they would be a comfy option for Father's Day. After a long day on the lakeshore, my legs are bright pink and happy to be covered up now. The light fabric is perfect for summer and they are loose enough to give my sunburn some relief. Because of the wild pattern and the gorgeous black embroidering on the bottom, I decided to wear them with a basic black tee and sandals. The black elements tie the whole look together!

{tea party}

What I'm wearing:
Necklace from Francesca's Closet,
dress by Lush from Nordstrom,
wedges by Kenna,
ring by W.A.R. jewelry
Picture with one of the fabulous hostess, Jan
On my last Sunday in Colorado, I attended an adorable springtime tea party. There is nothing like reliving your childhood with a cup of tea and a pastel dress. A few weeks before receiving a precious coral & gold invitation in the mail, Mariel, Jan, and I were chatting about childhood collections and miniature tea sets came up. In that moment, Jan & Mariel decided to hold a "girls only" tea party. They requested that every guest wear their girliest dress and their best set of pearls. I loved having an excuse to "get girly" and my friends looks amazing!
I wore a dress purchased a few years ago, but changed up the style with a chunky ivory flower necklace and light summer wedges. I love the bright chartreuse of my Lush dress. Despite the crazy color, it pairs easily with neutral tones and looks even better with a a summer tan. I adore the fun spectrum of colors that my friends wore that day. Coral, lime, mint, lavender, and more... A lovely range of springtime shades!

{¿Cómo se llama?}

What I'm Wearing:
Shirt from Hens and Chicas Etsy Store,
cardigan from Target,
shorts from Gap,
shoes by Vans,
& watch by Michael Kors
My last day of teaching was filled with hilariously, wonderful student videos, a pick up game of soccer, a heart-warming good-bye lunch with the whole staff, and my fun "¿Cómo se llama?" llama shirt!! When it starts getting hot out, it becomes increasingly difficult to wear "teacher clothes" to work. On my last day, I wore a fun Spanish shirt and shorts, and man, was it liberating! Even though, I adore dressing cute work, I am secretly excited for this summer in Chicago! I'll get to wear whatever I want without the fear of looking professional or the chance of running into my students while shopping. Get ready from some fun summer looks once my move is over! See all in a week or so. Wish me well on my 15 hour drive back to Chicago!
