Planning & meetings! The life of a teacher prior to the first day of school is busy, busy! One thing you should know about me for the upcoming autumn season is that I love the FALL TIME! Not only to I love the changing leaves, pumpkin bread, and slightly-chilly weather, I also LOVE the clothes; cozy sweaters, jeans, boots, & flannels! At the end of summer, I always end up wearing sweaters & pants despite the heat because I am so ecstatic for fall! I decided to wear these adorable light grey pants in my air conditioned office and was so content all day. Autumn is on its way!

Hello friends! Sorry I have been slightly missing in action recently. With the new school year starting I have been busy--planning for my new classes, moving to a new apartment, & navigating my life as a post-graduate! Bare with me as the new school year starts, I have a feeling that my blogs will be little to non-existent. But, since I'll be dressing myself everyday for work & trying to maintain my teacher status in the halls, I still plan on looking cute & I'll try my hardest to snap some pictures for you all. Today I had my new teacher orientation at my school and I didn't even realize until now that I was wearing my school colors, black & gold! Something that I am known for in my group of friends is tucking in my shirt... haha! The first time I met my best friends in college, I was wearing my shirt tucked into my jean shorts. At the time, I guess this wasn't at all popular, so they all noticed! My friend, Heather, said she thought I was really "edgy" when she first met me. Now that I'm in the professional realm tucking in your shirt is normal. Score!

So I'm not sure if you remember my blog posts from one of my interviews, but I got my dream job! Yes, it is official I am a high school Spanish teacher!! So far this week I have had district meetings and it truly doesn't feel real yet. The students come next week and I'm so excited to be in my own classroom (and a little nervous too).  I feel so blessed to have a job and am ready to give my all for my students :)

I always see adorable girls riding around town on their cruzer bikes with flowy dresses billowing behind them. So, I figured I could do the same with this vibrant red skirt on my way downtown... man was I wrong! haha! Turns out that riding a road bike doesn't fare well with long skirts. Let's just say my skirt and my bike gears became well aquatinted :) I guess that's what Shout stain remover is for!

Nothing quite like a visit to the Celestial Seasonings tea factory on a cloudy day! I actually happen to love overcast days because, in Colorado, they give you a reason to be a little less active & a little lazier :) I love cozying up to the sleepytime bear... See photo below. I have been to the factory 3 times!!

As for my outfit, I bought this rich, red necklace in Spain when I traveled with my family around the southern coast and up to Madrid. The truly fascinating thing about this necklace is that the "beads" are actually seeds and to my amazement, after 5 years they still have a unique scent to them. With this long strand of seeds, sometimes I knot the end to have it hang low or I loop it around twice for a fuller looking necklace!
