{Feliz Navidad}

What I'm wearing:
Red jeans by BDG from Urban Outfitters,
black sweater from Gap,
holiday vest (hand-sewn by me) fabric from Joanne Fabrics,
boots by Z London from DSW,
& candy cane earrings from Target
When looking through my collection of tacky holiday sweaters, I discovered my longing for a holiday vest! So when you're a Spanish teacher, what better type of vest than a Feliz Navidad one with Mexican flag pom poms on the bottom! This lovely holiday tribute was hand-sewn by yours truly. I'm currently taking orders if you're interested ; ) Just kidding... but at the same time, I'm not! Let me know!

 The highlight of my day while wearing this was having students look at me like I was a complete weirdo while clearly wondering if I was seriously wearing it or if it was joke. Haha, the majority were too afraid to ask!!

P.S. Feliz Navidad means Merry Christmas in Spanish if you didn't know already :)

{Sunday Morning}

What I'm wearing:
Skirt from Old Navy,
purple shirt from Gap, scarf from Forever 21,
boots by Z London from DSW,
tights from Target,
earrings (hand-me-down from my older sister),
ring from my grandfather,
& ruby bracelet from Gem Boutique
I decided to wear my "elf" tights this Sunday! Despite the fact that they are forest green, I think the black accents and light jean skirt pulls the focus out and away from the wacky tights. I have discovered personally that when wearing an unusual colored clothing item (such as green tights, orange shoes, or what have you), pairing the bold color items with other colors and a staple, such as black or white, can bring everything together nicely. I like wearing 3 or 4 different colors together at the same time! You may not agree with my choice of tights for this outfit, but I had a blast wearing them. For me, fashion is all about experimenting and having fun!

{¡una ganga!}

Sadly with the beautiful changing of the seasons,
it has been getting darker earlier, which makes taking outdoor
pictures somewhat difficult. As a first year teacher, I often get home
just as it is getting dark out. I was able to snap one good picture of my outfit
today before the sunset. For our spirit assembly, I wore my "new"(but not so new)
striped shirt. What I mean by that is I found this cute
top from Savers, a thrift store in Colorado! Only $4.99!!
¡¿Una ganga, no?! = A bargain, right?!

What I'm wearing:
Top from Savers, belt from my Nana,
pants from The Gap,
watch by Michael Kors,
earrings from Francesca's Closet,
& kitten heels by Jessica Simpson from Goodwill!

{wintergreen gal}

What Shannon's wearing:
Wintergreen dress from H & M,
sweater from Target,
necklace (gift)
Boots by Candies
I loved Shannon's wintergreen combo for the holiday party we attended on Friday! The brown leather boots gave her outfit a different feel that black boots can't capture. Often times during the holidays people go for glimmer and glitz with golds and silvers, but Shannon went for a more cozy and practical look. Then, she tied it all together with an amazing necklace and her bright smile!

{Christmas Cheer}

On Friday night I attended a Christmas Gift Exchange
with cookie decorating and great company. My roommate, Shannon,
and I were feeling the need to embrace the season, so
she wore a green get up and I wore a red one.
Seasons greetings from our home to yours!
What I'm Wearing:
Wool jacket by The Gap,
gloves from Target,
skirt from Forever 21,
boots by ZLondon from DSW,
cardigan from Urban Outfitters,
watch by Michael Kors

{I'm THAT teacher}

As you have already seen earlier this
semester in my blog, I enjoy going all out for Spirit Days.
I'm THAT teacher... the crazy one with the talking puppets,
silly songs, goofy voices, and super intense costumes!
Enjoy this Throwback Thursday tribute :)
My students were shocked to find out that people
"actually wore prom dresses like that!"
And, unfortunately no, this wasn't my prom dress.

What I'm wearing (if you even are interested!):
Dress by Gunne Sax by Jessica McClintock circa 1980's
purchase at Savers,
heels by DKNYC
