Yesterday in class one of my students commented on my necklace... Direct quote: "Nice bling, Ms. Rosenwinkel!" Haha! So great. I told them it actually belonged to my grandmother, who was insanely glamorous and loved big jewelry :) I told them she was always totally decked out with sparkles and gems. The students smiled.
I love wearing family heirlooms and amazing hand-me-downs because they always have a great story behind them; character that you just can't find at the mall!
