After a lovely weekend at "home" with my roommate Rachel's family, we headed to Denver this morning for church followed by a wonderful lunch at Sweet Ginger. We also had the chance to stop by my friend Jan's new apartment! It completely inspired me with designing ideas for my upcoming move.

 You'll never guess the last time I wore this dress... 4 years ago at my high school graduation party!! It has always been a little too long, but today I decided to wear it (lifting it up all day!) Now four years later, I'm a college graduate looking for a Spanish teaching job & living in Colorado! I would have never guessed this path back then, but I know it is right for me! I love teaching :)

I received this beautiful geometric scarf, which is a total vintage gem, as a hand-me-down from my grandma Rosenwinkel. She was the most glamorous woman I know and she is greatly missed. You will be seeing a lot of her classic pieces on my blog because she was so stylish!

My grandma Darlene was a loving wife & mother, a vivacious dancer, an amazing grandma, & a follower of Jesus. She lived her life with so much energy and passion. I love her so much!

Today I went back to school to help my co-operating teacher a little with grading & tying things up. As for my outfit, last week when my mom came to town I asked her to bring this adorable little hand-me-down skirt that literally has been in my closet for 10 years. It was always way too big for me, so I never wore it. Yet, this morning I safety-pinned it a little & look at it now! Back in the game :)

Now that student teaching is finished, my wardrobe has shifted a bit to a more casual summer style, which I am so excited for :) Hello summer dresses, fun sandals, and jeans jeans jeans! I'll probably be posting a little less often, but you'll get to see "weekend Abbey" more often (which should be fun)!
