This week is Spirit Week at the high school I teach at and you know what that means... alliteration-themed outfits! I love cowboy boots and flannel, so you can only imagine how psyched I was to hear today was Western Wednesday. Turns out most high schoolers don't get as into spirit days as costume-loving teachers do (a.k.a. Me!)

On Saturday, my friends and I almost froze our fingers off at the Chipotle "Cultivate Festival" for free samples and burritos. In addition to free stuff, we learned about responsible farming and humane stock-raising; Very eco-friendly of us! Although the weather was far beyond brisk, I loved bundling up for the fall with hats, scarves, & boots. I didn't even bother taking a picture of what I was wearing under my jacket because I never took it off!

 It is amazing how electric Shannon's eyes are everyday, but when put next to this teal tile wall, WOW! I love the contrast between the bright teal and the rich maroon in her scarf. This simple fall outfit is so adorable and amplified by Shannon's beauty ♥

After school today, with the chilly weather in Colorado, I decided to cozy up with my letterman sweater. A few years ago I was looking at my letter in my scrapbook from high school varsity field hockey and decided I wanted to do something with it since I never bought a letterman's jacket. I found this perfect blue sweater at a resale show and started sewing! Today this high school teacher is representing her alma mater!

This shirt is one of the few items of clothing that I own that is pink. And then to make it even girlier, it has ruffles :) I like it though! The ruffles have rough edges that are a bit frayed, which I think gives the ruffles a bit of "edge" (Like that play on words... maybe?! Haha!)

If you ever have the chance to buy a llama fleece sweater, do it! Trust me you will never regret it. I bought this sweater when I was visiting the northern part of Argentina, up in Jujuy. Not only did I buy it because it is the softest and most comfortable sweater I own, but I love the light tones in the fleece. A lot of llama sweaters have silly patterns and bright colors, but this sweater is all natural. Just like the little llamas I met in the province of Salta :)
